Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action aims at the holistic intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth of an individual. Learners engaged in this program are expected to be life-long learners, and through experiential learning, evolve as active citizens and caring and compassionate humans. SEWA takes learning beyond the walls of the classroom and sometimes even beyond the boundaries of the school, thus building bridges with the authentic world in meaningful and positive ways. Activities and projects undertaken as a part of SEWA help in creating a connection between learners and the community. They encourage learners to undertake collaborative community outreach projects under various themes such as providing support to the vulnerable sections of society, promoting literacy, protecting and conserving our tangible and intangible heritage, and more such community projects. The students are also encouraged to take individual initiatives to help the community and share their experiences with their teachers and peers. It aims at bringing positive change in the surroundings through collaboration and interaction with Non-Governmental organisations / Parent volunteers. Fundraising campaigns and Resource-sharing drives are undertaken to bring solace to the underprivileged section or to support people during times of calamity. The activities undertaken by the learners help in honing certain skills such as creativity, problem-solving, leadership, organisational skills and soft skills, and most important of all to inculcate empathy and develop values of responsible citizens among them.

The success of our SEWA program depends upon meaningful collaboration and involvement of all stakeholders of the school community.

The Editorial Board is a rendering of our vision to create a student led school. The Editorial Board makes the voices heard with themes such as ‘Resisting Erasure’, ‘Dear Society’, ‘Been There Done That’, ‘The Elves’ Cauldron’, ‘Anapneo-a process’ and many more such mindfully curated editions which are filled with enthralling articles, emotive poetry, radiant stories, photography and picturesque artwork. ‘Review Rolls’, a section in the newsletter, brings forth creative and unbiased reviews on movies or documentaries. The team celebrates its success by introducing its first ever magazine “स्याही की बैरिया” that culminates the spectacular contribution and accomplishments of the team in the year 2021 as a stepping stone towards building an awakened and mindful community.

Piloted by a leadership team composed of team mentors and a Board Advisor, which never fails to yield awe-inspiring outcomes. The Editorial Board has a fool-proof recipe to create a perfect blend of creativity, cultivated craftsmanship and thought-provoking journalism. The Editorial Board not only promises to bring forth dazzling and spiralling editions but also embarks on a journey filled with liberating thoughts and ideas. Just in perfect quantities for some craze to prevail!
