School Profile

Established in 1999, The Heritage School in Vasant Kunj has become a highly coveted educational institution, attracting students with diverse academic ambitions. Despite facing challenges and achieving milestones in its early years, the school has persevered with determination, guided by its core values that promote innovative initiatives within a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Recognised as a top CBSE school in Delhi and an experiential learning school in India, The Heritage School stands out for its commitment to excellence.

With a focus on experiential, project-based teaching methods and an integrated curriculum, The Heritage School has earned a reputation as a progressive and innovative school in its decade of operation. It has revolutionised traditional education practices by placing children at the forefront of its educational philosophy, nurturing their imagination, and critical thinking skills, and fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation.

Emphasising that every child possesses a natural capacity to learn, The Heritage School advocates for experiential education that seamlessly integrates with the curriculum to enhance learning objectives and processes. The school aims to redefine excellence on an individual basis, shaping students into confident, well-rounded, and empathetic individuals. Education at The Heritage School is viewed as a comprehensive learning journey that aims to develop students intellectually, practically, and emotionally, instilling values of self-reliance, social consciousness, compassion, and patriotism. The school aspires to empower students to become agents of positive change, contributing to the creation of a more just and equitable society.

Here’s what we believe: education isn’t something that happens to students. It’s something they actively participate in, shape, and make their own.

Since 1999, The Heritage School has been challenging the conventional wisdom about how children learn best. We’ve built our entire approach around experiential learning-the idea that people understand concepts more deeply when they engage with them directly, reflect on what they’ve learned, and apply it in meaningful ways.

Sure, we’re a CBSE school in Delhi, and we take academic rigor seriously. But we’ve never been content with just teaching to the test. Our students learn by doing: building models, conducting investigations, debating ideas, working on community projects, and tackling real problems that require creative solutions.

Every classroom here is learner-centered, which means we start with where students are and what genuinely interests them. We encourage questions-even the challenging ones. Especially the challenging ones. Because that’s where real learning begins.

The New Education Policy has validated much of what we’ve been practicing for years: interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, creativity, and preparing students for a world that’s constantly changing. Our students don’t just memorize information; they learn how to learn. They become curious, thoughtful people who understand that education doesn’t end when the bell rings-it’s a lifelong journey.
